    Capita travel and events appoints head of operations for meetings and events

    Capita travel and events, a leading travel, accommodation and events organisation, has appointed Mark Fry as head of operations for meetings and events, a newly created role for the business.

    Mark was previously the director of sales and operations for the Swindon-based Venues Event Management, which was acquired by Capita plc in 2012.

    Mark will be responsible for the strategic and day-to-day operational management of all meetings and event activity across Capita travel and events’ nine UK sites. 

    Speaking about the new appointment, Anita Lowe, director of meetings and events, Capita, said, “Mark will maintain multi-site service consistency and build upon the depth and breadth of expertise, and passion, of our meetings and events team. He will also work with specialist product operational teams to ensure processes are harmonised. I look forward to continuing to work with Mark.”

    Mark’s previous industry experience spans over 20 years and includes hotel management, agency account management, sales and operational management roles.
