BSI Crowned Best Agency at IHG Awards

BSI was crowned ‘IHG Agency of the Year 2007-2008’ at the recent IHG Agency Awards, which took place at London’s Intercontinental Park Lane Hotel. 
Beating off competition from short listed Carlson Wagonlit Travel, Banks Sadler and BCD Travel, BSI was nominated by IHG’s global sales directors and IHG hotels across EMEA. 

Singled out as an industry leader in three core areas by the final judging panel, BSI was awarded the title for its commitment to technology and innovation, account management, and supply management and delivery.

Over the last year, BSI has made heavy investment in technology and innovation, which has seen the market launch of BSI’s supplier extranet, meetings online, online reporting, and advanced corporate security with the tracking of both bedroom guests and meeting delegates in the event of global incident,  BSI Direct Connect Programme (bypassing the GDS), and further enhancements to its online BSIDirect™ Booking System.

The company has also bolstered its account management and eMigration teams with several new appointments to ensure that BSI continues to lead the market. 

BSI’s Managing Director, Trevor Elswood, collected the award on behalf of BSI on the night, and commented:  “We are delighted to have been recognised for our commitment and delivery within the industry over the last year.
