    BSI Appoints Northern Operations Manager

    Following last year’s appointment of Jan Cearns as Cheadle based Operations Manager - Conferences and Meetings, BSI has appointed Val Glaze to the new role as dedicated Northern Operations Manager for the accommodation side of the business.

    In her new position, Val will be responsible for managing the IR (International Reservations) team based in Nottingham, along with the Cheadle accommodation team to create a consistent customer experience across the two Centres of Excellence.

    With extensive operational experience, Val has continued to deliver significant levels of customer brand loyalty to IR since the company was acquired by the BSI group of companies in 2005.  
    Talking about this latest appointment, BSI Group Managing Director Trevor Elswood comments: “Val brings more than 20 years experience in customer service to this new role and I am confident that she will bring synergy to the customer experience between our two Centres of Excellence, Nottingham and Cheadle.
    “The new role empowers Val to encourage and motivate both teams which will result in the delivery of best practice in our Northern operational customer service and an enhanced reputation for best-in-class accommodation management ”.
    Val’s operational and customer service experience began as Customer Service Manager, followed by Events Manager for Cadbury Trebor Bassett.  She moved on to become a General Manager before accepting the position of Operations Manager with IR in April 2003.
